How It's Made?
The quilt is made by putting layers of silk sarees onto each other and a series of parallel rows are formed by had stitch process, thus it gives out a wavy effect when touched. The Quilt is made under Extreme Heat conditions by Rural Areas women. As these are made from recycled and old silk sarees you may find some small holes or stains (sometimes). You may sometimes find many patches on them, which adds up good characteristics to the quilt.

Measurements:
Vintage Quilt's approximate sizes are 85x55 inches ( 212x 140 cm), but it all depends on person to person making it. Thus a variation is expected up to 5-7%.

Weight:
Usually, the weight of the Vintage quilt depends on the layers of Sarees Involved in making and the broadness of stitching 2024 thread.
Thus a light quilt will weigh from 800 grams- 2 kg and a weighted quilt will be around 2-3.5 kg
