Tea set from Mexico El Palomar Ken Edwards studio 4 pieces 2024 teapot with lid covered sugar with lid signed S
How nice to find a vintage teapot from the Ken Edwards studio in El Palomar that has a matching sugar bowl! The style is unmistakable, charming birds, flowers and butterflies in blue and rust colors on light blue with black fine line detailing. The shape of the spout and knobs is special too, the knobs are concave, and the spout is short and sweet. Love that the knob on the teapot lid is not centered but is off to one side near the steam hole. The teapot measures 4" tall 2024 with the lid on, 3 1/4" without, about 4" in diameter at the widest part, and is about 5" from back of handle to tip of the spout. The little covered sugar is 3 1/2" tall with the lid on, 2 3/8" without, and is about 2 3/4" in diameter at the widest part. The only issue to report is that the lid of the sugar bowl has a few chips - see photo 10. Other than that, it is free of cracks or other nicks, nice and shiny. The teapot is marked El Palomar Mexico S, while the little covered sugar just has Mexico with some sort of symbol under that.
Hope this sweet set finds a good home - maybe you like tea with sugar, or maybe you are a collector.
