Hello and welcome, up for your consideration is a 2.18ct Oval Swiss Blue Topaz. This beautiful Topaz measures 8.8 x 7 x 4.8mm, has excellent clarity and has a Gorgeous Cambodian Blue Zircon color.
The name Topaz comes from an Island by the Red Sea, now Zabargad but formerly Topazos. Topaz is normally Yellow to Golden Brown and sometimes Green in color, the most rare being Pink to Pinkish Red in color. The coloring agents in Topaz are Chromium and Iron. Topaz is the birthstone for November.
Topaz is 8 2024 on the Mohs' Hardness scale which makes them very friendly for jewelry making or crafting.
