Ash wood fruit bowl, hand turned lathe 2024 work

Another piece of ash from the wind felled branch from the outskirts of Balerno, Edinburgh, from which I have created several pieces, soon to be 2024 listed in shop. Lovely creamy white and nice grain definition. Ash is a very hard wood with many uses such as hockey bats, tool handles and furniture. Some patches of bark remain as a feature on this piece and is finished in a water resistant finish, please do not soak in water however.
This piece is a natural wonky shape, turned 'green' and allowed to reshape as it dries out, base turned again to ensure it does not rock. 26cm at widest part and 6.5cm high.
