A common staple of Portugal, thanks to her coastlines and history of sailing, the fish also gave Bordallo a chance to show off his artistic talents. He did by both making a realistic reproduction while indulging his creative flourishes.

These are a very unusual, fun and kitsch item by the famous Caldas da Rainha factory in Portugal, more famous for it's cabbage-ware.

A small bowl modeled on a white fish that can be used in a ton of different ways.
Comes in a set of 3.

I cannot find another example of this piece online in white. The more common colors are red and black.

It measures roughly 6 inches/ 15 cm from mouth to tail. They are in excellent vintage condition considering it's age, with no chips or cracks! There are minor bits of crazing, but with how detailed these are, it's hard to notice. 2024
