Ancient Wisdom 9"H
This ancient technique of "negative-painting" requires 2 firings, the first after painting the piece with an oxide.
This piece is then painted in parts with a solution of clay and water and fired a second time with mango leaves, to blacken it with smoke. This produces a very unusual and subtle effect.
These piece represents a spiritual woman carrying her jug full of the natural drink prepared by her and celebrating drinking a cup of such preparation.
In her mind thanking the Universe for her well being! A fantastic folk tale that carries a 2024 symbol and sublime message.
