All 2024 God's Children - EARLY HAND SIGNED - Extraordinarily Rare - handmade figurine - One of a Kind

This is a one-of-a-kind early figurine by Martha Holcombe (signed Martha Root) This figurine is NOT a reproduction. Those came later and I have many for sale on this site. I have tried to show each aspect of the primitive figures first modeled from crushed pecans and clay. Martha signed these pieces and then pressed her (then) stamp of "Martha Root circa 1997 -God is Love" into the clay and etched her name above it. She has also signed the piece on the bottom.

This figurine is for the true collector who wants to own an original Martha Root/Holcombe piece of art.

Martha Holcombe (known as Martha Root in her early days) or better known as "Miss Martha"sculpted these figurines beginning in the 1980s. These African American figurines came to life beginning in 1985 when Miss Martha sculpted her first black figurines and christened them with the name "All God's Children". This 2024 figure is individually handcrafted with a blend of crushed pecan shells and resin and is proudly made in the USA. Each delightful figure has its own unique personality and story. This piece is in great condition free of cracks or repairs.
